The Evolution of makeup

When I first heard about this my reaction was: ” THIS IS AMAZING!, WE ARE BECOMING THE JETSONS! I WANT TO BE HER BEST FRIEND!”. This young woman is going to change an entire makeup industry because she was bold enough to go forward with her idea. She is the Harvard graduate student and makeup enthusiast that will bring the future for women, An at home 3D makeup printer.

Buisness graduate Grace Choi has discovered a way in which a 3D printing device could generate makeup. According to Choi, the machine, called Mink, is a mini at-home printer, which hooks up to your computer. It can take any image from a phone, laptop or camera and make it into a wearable cosmetic.

“Mink enables the web to become the biggest beauty store in the world. We’re going to live in a world where you can take a picture of your friend’s lipstick and print it out.”

Her goal is to change how we see the world of makeup through technology and this will train our girls to understand that : “The definition of beauty is something that they should be able to control, not the corporations.”

Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni

I have a weakness for Italian food. THESE CANNElLONi are homemade and relatively easy to do. I BUY THE PRE BAKED PASTA and add my FILLING and Homemade Sauce. I HOPE YOU guys like it, because MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS love them.

1 package pre cooked cylindrical Canneloni

500 grams Ricotta cheese

1 kilo of fresh spinach

2 large white onions

Salt and pepper

Napolitana sauce (in another post I will put my homemade recipe)

In a skillet with a little olive oil saute chopped onions sliced into small cubes and keep adding the chopped spinach. Salt & pepper and add minced garlic.

in a plastic container to mix the spinach filling with the ricotta cheese and check salt and pepper.

In a special oven squared glass container lightly oil the bottom with olive oil. The idea is to fill each cannelonni with a fork until it is full and  line them in rows.

After filling the container cover with Napolitana sauce (previously made) and grated Parmesan or pecorino cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour.

Beauty:DIY Rosemary Mint shaving cream for men

Unlike a traditional shaving cream this doesn’t contain soap, which can dry the skin out, while oils will moisturize and create a protective layer over the skin as he shaves. Here is an awesome DIY shaving cream with coconut oil and shea butter that smells of  delicious rosemary and mint. It could be a gift for a husband, boyfriend, fiance or friend, I’m sure he will like it.

1/3 cup shea butter (72.67 grams)
1/3 cup virgin coconut oil (72.05 grams)
1/4 cup jojoba or sweet almond oil (54.88 grams)
10 drops rosemary essential oil
3-5 drops peppermint essential oil

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the shea butter and coconut oil, stirring until just melted. Remove from the heat and transfer to a heat-safe bowl. Add in the jojoba oil and the essential oils. Stir to mix.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator and chill until solid. Remove from the refrigerator and whip using a hand beater or a stand mixer until light and fluffy. Spoon into a jar. Lid and keep in a cool, dry place.

Makes 8 ounces.
